On Monday, January 16, 2023, the Municipality of Agios Anargyros-Kamaterou "swept" at the Local Government Awards, Best City Awards in the Technopolis hall of the Municipality of Athens, as it won five awards, proving that the vision of the Mayor of Agios Anargyros-Kamateros Stavros Tsirbas for a more beautiful city is moving forward with steady steps.
At the award ceremony that took place on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Aeriofylakio 1 - Amphitheater "Miltiadis Evert" of Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens, the Municipality of Agios Anargyro-Kamaterou won the following five awards:
-A gold award for the reconstruction projects of Demokratias Avenue with widening of sidewalks, tree planting, creation of ramps for the disabled and creation of a new square with an aesthetic and functional upgrade.
-Another gold award for the creation of the 1st Municipal Veterinary Clinic.
-Two silver awards for the Pilot actions for the promotion of vulnerable groups and young people in employment in the Municipality of Agia Anargyro Kamaterou. Intermunicipal Social Network "SYMBRATTO", but also for the upgrade of LED Street Lighting.
-The fifth prize (bronze) is for the smart waste bins with the Creation of a Network of Smart Waste Bins in the Municipality of Agioi Anargyro-Kamaterou.
The Mayor of Agios Anargyron-Kamaterou, Stavros Tsirbas, said characteristically after receiving the awards: "The city of our generation and our heart, is awarded with a total of 5 awards at the Best City Awards 2023. We are very honored by our initiatives and efforts to change the future of our country, to receive important distinctions at a nationwide level.
I want to dedicate all five prizes, which we won at the Best City Awards, to all of you, our citizens and especially to our young people, for whom we are step by step creating the city and the standard of living they deserve.
I want to thank you all for your support and trust. We continue in 2023, with projects and actions faithful to our vision of a leading city".
