Investigations are in full progress for the woman who was found dead in a rural area of Chalkidona, in Thessaloniki, with one of the scenarios being considered being femicide.
According to information, she was found dead from a shot to the head with a shotgun, which however does not seem to have been located at the scene of the tragedy.
The body was found inside a car, in the passenger seat, specifically behind the building of the Directorate of Agriculture, near the cemeteries in Chalcedon.
The police have made a "leaf and feather" of the vehicle and blocked the area.
This follows from the first forensic findings on the body of the woman, whose age is approximately 50 years.
According to information, the woman was known to the authorities, as she had engaged them in the past for drug cases and had even been imprisoned and released.
Residents of the area are shocked by the incident as the crime scene is very close to the main road and in a residential area. They note that in the area where the crime took place, drugs are trafficked and drug addicts are usually frequented.
