The ministry recalls that SYRIZA, with an announcement on 10.4.2023, i.e. during the Holy Week of Orthodoxy, discovered a "scandal of tens of millions" and considered that Greece is a "black sheep" in the EU.

"However, because the Great Week has ended and the Light has prevailed over the darkness, we should emphasize that the issue of the management of the co-financed resources of the NSRF is definitely NOT a privileged space for SYRIZA to make an opposition and in order to restore the truth, the following are mentioned:

In the matter of waste management and for the actions financed by the NSRF, the Ministry of Development had 3 open issues with the EU Services:

- the issue of FODSA Epirus, which with the excellent cooperation of the Region of Epirus and all the Municipalities (except one) has been settled,

-the issue of the Peloponnese PPP, for which the submission of the large project file is pending, which is being carried out immediately,

- the question of the financing of the "recycling corners", in which it was requested to study the cost-benefit ratio of the recycling technology", it is noted in the announcement.

Regarding the 3rd issue, following a long previous communication of the Minister and relevant correspondence with the Commissioner Ms. Eliza Ferreira, "it was agreed that the Ministry of Development and Investments will assign to an independent evaluator of recognized prestige, the evaluation of the effectiveness and the cost-benefit ratio of specific technology, as confirmed in the Commissioner's document.

In this context, on 23.2.2023, the relevant Service of the Ministry assigned, to the renowned independent company "Grant Thornton", the preparation of the relevant evaluation study.

The relevant study was prepared and sent to the Services of the Ministry".
