The payment of the Transport Equivalent to the beneficiaries of the three branches (passengers, fuel, businesses) of a total amount of 40,000,000.00 euros is immediately promoted, after the approval of the relevant credits by the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure to the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy.
Regarding the passenger section, the payments in question relate to applications for the financing of passenger movements for the period up to 30/09/2022.
Specifically, for the period from 29/04/2022 to 30/06/2022, the amount of 7,449,721.14 euros is paid, which is credited to the accounts of 133,704 beneficiaries and for the period from 01/07/2022 to 30/09/ 2022, 11,083,105.25 euros are paid to 165,858 beneficiaries.
The competent Services of the General Secretariat of the Aegean and Islands Policy are already processing the lists for clearing the payments and final payment of the Transport Equivalent to the beneficiaries.
The crediting of the accounts of the beneficiaries is expected to start gradually from 24/4/2023 for all 133,704 beneficiaries for the first period and will be followed by the new crediting of the accounts for the 165,858 beneficiaries of the movement period until 30/9/2022.
At the same time, for the fuel part, the repayment of its beneficiaries is promoted for all the expenses incurred in the year 2022 and the Island Cost Compensation for 32,068 residents and 3,274 entrepreneurs of the 48 application islands amounts to a total of 4,123,652.00 Euros.
The crediting of the accounts will start gradually for the beneficiaries from 24/4/2023.
Regarding the businesses, for the requests submitted for the A semester of 2022, the process of relevant checks for the accumulation of state aid and the completeness/legality of submitted requests for all 11,965 businesses is ongoing.
The payment of the credits to them will take place immediately as soon as the relevant audits are notified by EFEPAE and EDYTE, while the total amount that will be allocated for this purpose for the companies and will concern the A semester of 2022 amounts to 16,000,000.00 euros .
It is noted that the implementation of the measure of the equivalent in the year 2022 was completed with the final payment of 71,000,000 euros for businesses and citizens, while for 2023, until mid-May 2023, liquidity will have been allocated to citizens and island businesses totaling 40,000,000.
The General Secretariat of the Aegean and Island Policy in the period 2019-2023 has managed and allocated real liquidity of 192,000,000.00 euros for the actual operation of the Measure, improving and rationalizing the errors and failures of the original design.
