The Hellenic Statistical Authority announced that during the month of March 2023, 22,682 cars (new or used foreign) were released for the first time, compared to 17,661 that were released in the corresponding month of 2022, showing an increase of 28.4%.
There was an increase of 5.6% in the circulation of cars for the first time (new or used abroad) in March of the year 2022 compared to the corresponding month of 2021.
New cars launched in March 2023 amounted to 14,408 compared to 9,255 launched in the corresponding month of the year 2022, showing an increase of 55.7%.
The circulation of new motorcycles with a displacement of more than 50 cc (new and used abroad) during the month of March 2023 amounted to 5,839 compared to 4,056 in the corresponding month of the year 2022, showing an increase of 44.0%. There was a 17.8% increase in the launch of new motorcycles (above 50 cc) in March 2022 compared to the corresponding month of 2021. New motorcycles launched in March 2023 amounted to 5,520 compared to 3,724 launched in the corresponding month of year 2022, showing an increase of 48.2%.
In the period January - March 2023, 61,044 cars (new or used foreign) were released for the first time, compared to 50,226 that were released in the corresponding period of the year 2022, showing an increase of 21.5%. The January-March quarter of 2022 showed an increase of 8.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2021.
The new cars released in the period January - March 2023 amount to 36,870 compared to 24,612 released in the corresponding period of the year 2022, showing an increase of 49.8%.
The circulation of new motorcycles over 50 cc (new and used foreign) during the period January - March 2023, amounted to 13,071 compared to 9,958 released in the corresponding period of the year 2022, showing an increase of 31.3%. An increase of 25.8% had been presented in the quarter of January - March of 2022 compared to the corresponding period of 2021. New motorcycles launched in the period of January - March 2023 amount to 12,250 compared to 9,001 launched in the corresponding period of the year 2022, showing an increase of 36 ,1%.
