The Greek government gave a mandate to six houses for a new 5-year reference bond issue maturing on June 15, 2028, according to an announcement to the Stock Exchange. ODDIX gave a mandate to BNP Paribas, Citi, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Nomura and Piraeus Bank PIER -3.10%, which will act as underwriters.
The transaction will take place in the near future, depending on market conditions, the statement said.
It is noted that with the issuance of a 10-year bond on January 18, ODDIX had put 3.5 billion euros into the Fund, covering half of the annual borrowing program. Based on the announced strategy, the aim is to approach the markets for an additional €3.5 billion by the end of the year, with some very positive market news on the horizon. In April, Eurostat announcements are expected to certify a significantly better primary result.
