The Board of the Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, in the meeting it had with the Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Apostolos Vesyropoulos and the Governor of the Independent Public Revenue Authority, Mr. Giorgos Pitsilis.
In more detail, according to a relevant announcement, regarding the request for the complete abolition of the limits, above which the submission of the declarations of financial results of the companies is done through electronic taxi codes of the authorized and certified by the OEE accountants - tax technicians, it became known that - at first phase – the limits are reduced from 50,000 to 30,000 euros, with the immediate signing of the relevant Ministerial Decision and effective from 1/1/2023.
The possibility of extending the fulfillment of citizens' tax obligations by the accountants-tax technicians is expected to be examined immediately, as follows:
In case of illness or pregnancy, reporting obligations are postponed until the end of the following month.
In case of death, the reporting obligations are postponed until the end of the following month.
The examination of this possibility comes as a result of relevant legislation following a proposal by the OEE, for the illness due to Covid-19.
It was mutually agreed that the submission of tax returns should be completed within the statutory deadlines. For this purpose, the Deputy Minister of Finance and the Commander of AADE committed to take all the necessary actions and both sides to meet again in the last ten days of March, in order to assess the situation. The goal is that in the month of August there will be no obligation to submit tax returns on time.
Finally, Messrs. Vesyropoulos and Pitsilis listened positively to the request for the rationalization of the provisions of the fines, and the direct application, which applies to natural persons, with a limit of 100 euros of tax difference, and to legal persons, with the ultimate goal of the radical rationalization of the exterminating penal code.
