The Council of State (CoS) deemed legal the draft Presidential Decree which defines the day of parliamentary elections outside Greece.
The Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and the Acting Minister of the Interior, Kalliopi Spanou, submitted the said draft of the Presidential Decree to the 5th Department of the Council of State.
May 20th was set as the day of parliamentary elections in all electoral divisions outside of Greek territory, i.e. one day before they are held in our country.
The 5th Section of the Council of Ministers, chaired by Vice-President Margarita Gortzolidou and rapporteur Christos Papanikolaou, with its opinion No. 83/2013, deemed the aforementioned draft Presidential Decree legal.
The right to participate in the parliamentary elections outside Greece is given to the voters who are registered in the special electoral lists abroad.
It is also foreseen that voting in all polling stations outside Greece will last from 07:00 to 19:00 (local time of each country).
