Kyriakos Mitsotakis's first pre-election speech will be officially given on Saturday and in fact from his homeland, Crete, which also has its own semiotics. According to a statement issued by New Democracy: "Prime Minister and President of New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakis will be in Chania on Saturday, April 22nd, where he will hold an open speech at 19:00 at G. Katehaki Square in the city's Old Port."
The official start of the pre-election period begins with the publication of the Presidential Decree, at which point a series of procedures and the corresponding deadlines come into force. After 10 days from the start of the pre-election period, the announcement of the candidates is made by the competent courts and on 12 days, the service of the declarations for the preparation of the combinations to the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court expires.
