The Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, responsible for Demographic and Family Policy and Gender Equality, Maria Syregela, attended an event held in Petroupoli.
During the event on demographic policy and the family, the deputy minister spoke about the demographic problem facing the country and the government's initiatives "to strengthen and support the family".
Mrs. Syregela emphasized, among other things, that the government is drawing up for the first time "an overall, integrated, national demographic policy, taking into account the conclusion of the Inter-Party Parliamentary Committee on Demography". He also added that the government created in 2021 "a portfolio at the level of deputy minister with responsibility for demographic policy and the family".
