"It continues to be the only party that, according to opinion polls, moves in higher percentages compared to those of the 2019 elections. On the contrary, ND and SYRIZA are showing a decline," said the head of the Parliamentary Group of PASOK - Movement for Change, Michalis Katrinis, speaking to Action 24 and the show "Morning zone", to Giorgos Kakousis and Anna Livathynou.
"It is indicative that PASOK against the corruption of others appears to be recording a strong double-digit percentage that will allow it to play a role in the developments. Especially after the tragic accident in Tempe, it is obvious that the citizens show great distaste for the government faction" said the Ilias MP.
And he added: "However, the most important finding of this poll is that what Mr. Mitsotakis is "evangelizing" as an alleged salvation for the country, i.e. the independence of the ND in the elections, is now an illusory dream.
The citizens themselves reject the independence of Mr. Mitsotakis. In addition, we observe with interest the contradiction of Mr. Mitsotakis, who on the one hand characterizes cooperation governments as "adventure" governments and on the other hand wishes to continue to claim the position of prime minister, in a possible cooperation government. What is certain, however, is that PASOK will respect the popular verdict and the result of the first elections, submitting specific programmatic proposals, which will also bind the persons who will implement them. The new era requires collaborations and not stand-alone schemes that have been evaluated, failed and closed their cycle. In the new era, we cannot move forward with persons who have been tested, failed and have been negatively evaluated in the consciousness of the citizens. In this particular poll, PASOK's proposal for a widely accepted Prime Minister gathers the preference of four citizens out of ten (4/10) and this as a finding radically changes the data, as to whether it is necessary for the president of the first party to be prime minister at the same time."
"Private debt is a big challenge"
Regarding the agenda for the elections and the failure of the ND government, Michalis Katrinis emphasized that "the next period, both socially and economically, will be characterized by great challenges and difficulties, which can only be faced with broader collaborations.
And a big challenge and at the same time our programmatic position is the solution of the major problem of private debt, in the management of which both ND and SYRIZA failed.
Overall, however, the account of four years of the "staff state" of the ND in a series of critical issues is tragic. The ruling faction has failed almost everywhere: in supporting public health and public education, in the safety of citizens and in the management of everyday life. Mr. Mitsotakis insists, smugly, on achieving self-reliance, he tries to trap the citizens in fake and false dilemmas. He doesn't realize that we are entering a new era that has surpassed him."
Finally, in relation to the new developments concerning the party Kasidiaris underlined that "PASOK voted for the relevant amendment of the government, after an exhaustive discussion and it has now become a law of the state, which should be implemented. Now it's up to the Justice", referring to a "Nazi education" by the imprisoned former member of parliament.
