From December 29 to 30, 2022, checks were carried out by the Directorate of Economic Police and the Sub-Directorate of Economic Police of Northern Greece at health care stores and meat businesses in Attica and Thessaloniki for compliance with insurance, labor and tax legislation.

As much as the weather in Greece has helped in the fight against the energy crisis, from the new year the needs for heating oil will increase and consumers will be asked to reach deeper into their pockets, as from January 1 the state subsidy at the pump is cut by 10 minutes.
The new charges and government subsidies for the month of December are to be implemented from January 1st on the electricity bills for private individuals and professionals.
