ΈΝΩΣΗ ΑΣΦΑΛΙΣΤΙΚΩΝ ΕΤΑΙΡΙΩΝ

Helping the important work of the Fire Department, the Association of Insurance Companies of Greece (EAEE) proceeded to donate six (6) specialized Ford Ranger vehicles, for the management of fires in our country.
The vehicles are already at the disposal of the Special Forestry Operations Units (E.MO.DE.) in Athens, Crete, Thessaloniki, Patras, Ioannina and Lamia.
The official handing over of the donation took place yesterday, Monday, at the premises of the 1st Fire Station of Athens, in the presence of the president of the EAEE, Alexandros Sarrigeorgiou, the general director of the EAEE, Elina Papaspyropoulou, and the coordinator of Attica PS Operations, lieutenant general Panagiotis Niafa.
During the ceremony of handing over the vehicles, the president of EAEE, Alexandros Sarrigeorgiou noted: "With the protection and care of people as core values, EAEE and the insurance industry recognize the contribution of the Fire Brigade to society as a whole and help to strengthen it further operationally the difficult task it performs. The free provision of six specialized Ford Ranger vehicles is a practical gesture of solidarity with the people of the Fire Service who are on the front line of operations to deal with the disasters that threaten the country."
For his part, the coordinator of Attica Operations, Lt. Gen. Panagiotis Niafas, after thanking EAEE for the donation of the vehicles, handed over an honorary plaque to Mr. Sarrigeorgiou and stated, among other things: "As a Fire Brigade we welcome the initiative of the Union Insurance Companies of Greece for the donation of six fire engines for the needs of the Special Units of Forestry Operations, which will help us to meet the increased demands of the upcoming fire fighting season, being at the same time an example of solidarity to be emulated, and it shows your appreciation for the Firefighting Family. We sincerely thank you for your commendable act and we hope to have you as companions in the difficult work of the Fire Brigade and Civil Protection of our country". The ceremony of handing over the fire trucks took place in the presence of executives from both the Association of Insurance Companies of Greece and the Fire Brigade.
