The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport proceeded to strengthen the human potential of the Civil Aviation Service (CAA), in view of the summer season, which is expected to be particularly busy in air transport.
In this context, the 28 newly recruited employees with the specialty of air traffic controller (ATC) have already joined the workforce of the CAA and seven more are expected to complete the total of 35 controllers that have been decided to be recruited.
The recruitments were made through ASEP, where the appointments were foreseen by the relevant competition, to vacant organizational positions of the CAA.
The newly recruited air traffic controllers, after completing their training, will be deployed at the following airports and air traffic control centers:
at KEPATHM
at the airport of Heraklion, Crete
at Mykonos airport
at Santorini airport
at Rhodes airport and
at the airport of Kos.
During the swearing-in ceremony, the CAA management congratulated the air traffic controllers, welcoming them as new members of the Civil Aviation "family" and wishing them well in their careers.
