"The general situation of the Outstanding Universal Value of the World Heritage Listed Monument named "Acropolis, Athens" is excellent and adequately protected. Laws and regulations ensure the protection of the monument and its buffer zone", states, among other things, the detailed 70-page Report on the Acropolis of Athens, a monument included in the World Heritage List since 1987 (https://whc.unesco .org/en/list/404/documents/), posted on the official website of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre.
The Report, according to an update from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was based on the findings of a Joint Advisory Mission consisting of two representatives of the international ICOMOS and one of the UNESCO World Heritage Center, who carried out a three-day visit to the archaeological site between April 27-29, 2022 area of the Acropolis.
