ΥΠΟΘΕΣΗ ΠΑΡΑΝΟΜΗΣ ΑΓΟΡΑΠΩΛΗΣΙΑΣ ΑΡΧΑΙΟΤΗΤΩΝ

The defendants in the case of illegal buying and selling of antiquities, which was investigated by the Organized Crime Department of the General Regional Police Directorate of Crete, requested and received a deadline to apologize next Friday.
It is noted that the seven people arrested for the case were brought before the investigator today, while according to the Police investigations are continuing to identify two more people allegedly involved in the case.
The charges they face
Against three of the defendants, the prosecutor prosecuted for the formation of a criminal organization and in addition for accepting and disposing of monuments that are the products of crime, particularly of great value, carried out jointly professionally and as a follow-up.
The rest of the people allegedly involved in the case were charged with membership in a criminal organization, except for the foreigner who was prosecuted for attempting to accept monuments. In addition, two of those arrested face charges of direct cooperation in the acceptance and disposal of monuments and two more for violation of the obligation to declare monuments carried out jointly and consecutively.
