After the noise caused by the statements and criticisms of constitutional experts, who characterized Mr. Tzanerikos's stance as "uninstitutional", the resigned AP vice-president responded: "After the statements of constitutional experts, who characterized my statement as unconstitutional and I did not resign immediately, as they said, while I criticized the provision of the law for Kasidiaris, let the constitutional experts tell us how institutional are the interventions of government actors, who asked me to help, to exclude the Hellenes party, promising that after my retirement, I might be used in Authorities!".
When asked how the intervention of the highest government agent took place, the AP vice-president replied to iEidiseis: "I will never reveal the way it was done. But the highest government agent knows him"! And added Mr. Tzanerikos: "As for my resignation, it was not a result of pressure exerted after my statement, as was heard. But when I made my statement it was a Sunday and I thought it inappropriate, before I formally submitted my resignation, to announce it publicly. That's why I announced it on Monday morning, having previously officially submitted it. At 7:30 on Monday morning I submitted my resignation and there is a protocol for that."
