The limits of the building height and factor in the suburb will remain unchanged, as the Municipality of Filothei - Psychikos informs, characteristically: "The Parliament has upvoted a provision by which it is not allowed to exceed the height and building factor, nor to waive the other building conditions defined in special presidential decrees governing the Municipality".

The Mayor of Filotheis - Psychikou, Mr. Dimitris Galanis, had mobilized for this issue by collecting thousands of signatures from citizens with the aim of preventing the exceeding of the height and the change in the building conditions of the area.

After the amendment was approved, the Mayor made the following statement:

"The Parliament voted in favor of the amendment by which the garden cities - that is, Filothei and Psychiko - are exempted from the NOK, as we urgently requested. This development justifies the efforts of our Municipal Authority which from the first moment, with successive interventions in all levels, fought for a special provision for our Municipality and the special regime that governs it, so that the physiognomy of our suburb is not altered.

I want to warmly thank the Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis who accepted our request and with his personal intervention corrected a failure that would irreparably affect our suburb, as well as the MPs who supported the amendment. I also want to thank all the municipal factions of the Municipality of Filothei-Psychiko who joined us in this effort as well as the Psychiko Environmental Protection Association. And of course our Citizens who by exerting pressure facilitated our effort".
