With rain it looks like we'll be baking the arrow on Easter Sunday, with the latest weather data suggesting that the instability of Holy Week will extend.
Alpha meteorologist Giorgos Tsatraphyllias on his Facebook account urges people to have an alternative plan ready for roasting the arrow, since Easter Sunday will be rainy.
"Please see to it that on Easter Sunday you have ready construction for the firing of the arrow. Tarpaulin, tarpaulin, pergola, balcony are all acceptable. If the latest forecast data is maintained, there will be rains, and even a lot of them", he notes, warning of strong phenomena which, according to all indications, will "hit" several regions of the country.
And Sakis Arnautoglou notes that Easter Sunday will be rainy.
According to Mr. Arnautoglou, the weather will improve until Maundy Thursday, but from Maundy Friday rains and storms are again expected in western and northwestern Greece, while snow is likely to fall in the mountainous mainland.
On Great Saturday, the data shows few clouds and enough sunshine in most of the country, while from Evros to the islands of the northeastern Aegean there is the possibility of some rain until noon. On Easter night, good weather is expected in most parts of the country.
For Easter Sunday, Sakis Arnautoglou emphasizes that there will be some rain from the morning in western Greece, specifically in the Iptane Islands, western Sterea, Epirus, but also the western Peloponnese.
From noon and towards the afternoon, it is possible that the phenomena will move further east, towards western Macedonia, Thessaly, northern Sterea and the rest of the Peloponnese.
At the same time, he emphasized that a slight drop in temperature is expected from Holy Saturday, which will be felt mainly on Easter Sunday.
According to Meteo.gr, the weather will be unstable until Easter Sunday 16/04 with the most significant rains and storms expected on Tuesday 11/04, Friday 14/04 as well as on Easter Sunday 16 /04.
Regarding the temperature, a gradual rise is expected until Friday 14/04, while there will be a slight drop on Saturday and Easter Sunday.
Finally, westerly to northerly winds up to 6-7 Beaufort will prevail in the seas until M. Wednesday 12/04, while from Thursday 13/04 they will turn to southerly to westerly winds of the same intensity.
