An increase of 5.2% was recorded by the General Index of Industrial Production for the month of February 2023 compared to the previous month, while on an annual basis it increased by 5.8%.
According to ELSTAT, the average General Index of Industrial Production for the period January - February 2023, compared to the corresponding index for the period January - February 2022, showed an increase of 3.1%.
The seasonally adjusted General Index of Industrial Production for the month of February 2023, compared to the corresponding index for January 2023, showed an increase of 4.8%.
The Electricity Supply industry index posted the largest percentage increase, while the Printing and Pre-recorded Media Player industry index posted the largest percentage decrease, in February 2023 compared to January 2023. When comparing the February 2023 indicators to corresponding indicators of February 2022, the largest percentage increase was recorded in the computer, electronic and optical products manufacturing sector, while the largest percentage decrease was recorded in the printing and reproduction of pre-recorded media sector.
